Your Pet's Surgery
Your pet deserves only the finest veterinary surgical care. At Noah's Ark Veterinary Hospital, we strive to make your pet's surgical procedure as comfortable as possible by using the latest veterinary surgical equipment and old-fashioned care and compassion.
Our hospital is capable of handling a wide range of surgery cases, from routine spay/neuter procedures to more complex soft-tissue surgical procedures. We maintain a modern surgical suite for all surgeries and provide intensive and critical care for our patients. A board certified veterinary surgeon is available to perform surgery at Noah's Ark Veterinary Hospital, but the majority of orthopedic surgical cases are referred to a local veterinary surgical specialty facility.
We want your dog or cat to be as safe and comfortable as possible during surgery. We utilize modern anesthetic techniques, comparable to those found in human hospitals, as part of your pet's surgery. During and after surgery, we continuously monitor your pet's vital signs, using the latest technology, including pulse oximetry monitors and blood pressure monitors. Heated blankets are used to keep your pet warm and a veterinary technician is on hand to monitor your pet's condition.
Pain Management
When your pet is free of pain and discomfort, he or she heals and recovers more quickly. All surgical patients receive pain management medication during and following surgery in order to relieve pain and promote fast recovery. We may also provide pain medication for you to bring home with your pet.
Veterinary Cancer Treatment
A diagnosis of cancer can be a stressful, frightening experience for pet owners. However, most animals respond well to cancer treatment and many pets successfully beat cancer and go on to live healthy, happy lives. Noah's Ark Veterinary Hospital offers chemotherapy on a case-by-case basis. We refer serious oncology cases to the Veterinary Specialty Hospital or the specialists at North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine.
