Diagnosing Your Pet's Illness
Digital Radiology
Noah's Ark Veterinary Hospital is proud to offer advanced digital x-ray technology for our patients' health and well-being. X-rays are one of the most useful tests for diagnosing many problems associated with your pet's health. X-rays can be used to determine the location and severity of fractures, spot symptoms of heart disease, identify foreign bodies in your pet's stomach and much more.
Digital x-ray technology allows us to produce high-quality, high-resolution x-ray images more quickly than traditional film x-rays, leading to less time on the x-ray table (and less stress) for your pet. These images also can be emailed or saved to a disc, allowing for fast consultations with specialists, if necessary.
Diagnostic Laboratory
Sometimes, physical examinations do not give a complete diagnostic picture and laboratory tests must be used to diagnose your pet's problem. Noah's Ark Veterinary Hospital uses the services of an outside reference laboratory for all lab tests. We receive twice-daily pickup service, which means we receive your pet's results on the same day, resulting in fast treatment for your pet.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound is an advanced imaging technique that uses soundwaves to provide a real-time moving image of your pet's internal organs. This procedure is particularly useful for diagnosing abdominal and cardiac problems and can also be used to detect abdominal fluid, tumors, foreign bodies and other illnesses.
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
Noah's Ark Veterinary Hospital of Cary, NC is proud to offer extensive cardiac diagnostic services to our clients. We use electrocardiograms (ECGs) to monitor the function of your pet's heart. Using ECGs, we can detect abnormalities in your pet's heart and watch for signs of heart disease.
